How To Live with Presence of Mind

"One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most peopel dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular."

-Tony Robbins

We all live in the presence of mind but most of us are unaware of doing so. Our minds are at work every second on a conscious and subconscious level, even when we are sleeping.

Change Your Focus

"The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not on things we fear."

-Brian Tracy

It's what we tell ourselves about anything; that will color how we experience it. If you're focused on what's wrong in your life; if you're constantly worried about things; you will attract more of it into your life. It's time to change your focus away from your problems and begin to know that everything will work out perfectly.

The Art of Creating

"Every thought we think is creating our future."
-Louise L. Hay

Your thoughts are the beginning of creating anything in your life. Our beliefs mold our experiences. When you tune into what it is you believe about any given situation; you will understand why your life moves in the direction of that belief. Whatever it is you think about is what you will attract to yourself. So, as you acquire the knowledge about the "art of creating"; you will gain the power to change any circumstance in your life.

What About Today?

"Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness."

-James Thurber

Do you wake up each day looking forward to it or do you dread getting through it? Are you re-living the past over and over again or living in fear and anxiety of what the future may bring? Begin to realize that what happened in the past and how and why it happened are merely tools to help build a foundation that will make you stronger in the future.

To Act or Not to Act - That is the Question

"Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do."

-Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

I was recently asked to write about, "Why do you think people don't act?" It is a question I think about often since one of my genres is self development. It blows me away how we all know WHAT to do but implementing change into our lives is an entirely different story.

Tell Yourself the Truth

"Three things cannot be long hidden; the sun, the moon, and the truth." -Buddha

Think of all of the excuses you've heard people tell themselves to avoid facing reality. People don't exercise because they don't have the time. They drink because they're stressed. Children are neglected because the parents are too busy to take 5 minutes out of their days to give to them. And abused women win the prize for making up every excuse in the book about why they stay in abusive relationships.

Are You Negative?

"Those free of resentments surely feel peace." -Buddha

When you live your life holding onto negative feelings such as: resentment, revenge, jealousy, feeling cheated, anger, hatred, hurt etc. be prepared to be miserable and live an in unhappy way.

These emotional chains imprison you. Your aura is dark and trust me people pick up on it. Typically the words you speak, the little comments you make about everything and your beliefs reflect that inner ugliness.

Who Dictates Your Happiness?

"The one thing you can't take away from me is the way I choose to respond to what you do to me. The last of one's freedoms is to choose one's attitude in any given situation." -Victor Frankl

Is it always someone or something that causes us to be unhappy? Or, is it you? Every day is a new experience and you never know what is awaiting you around the corner. You may have every intention on having a good day but your boss doesn't have the same agenda and takes it out on you.

What Are You Upset About?

"The mind is it's own place and can make Heaven out of Hell or Hell out of Heaven." -John Milton

Everyone has issues they are dealing with which range all over the "life experience" board. From relationships, to money, work, health, love, debt, decisions, crossroads, revenge, jealousy, bosses, bitterness, and on and on.

These issues seem to consume us and fill us with worry, fear, hurt, pain, anxiety and more. But, they don't have to.
