Who Dictates Your Happiness?

"The one thing you can't take away from me is the way I choose to respond to what you do to me. The last of one's freedoms is to choose one's attitude in any given situation." -Victor Frankl

Is it always someone or something that causes us to be unhappy? Or, is it you? Every day is a new experience and you never know what is awaiting you around the corner. You may have every intention on having a good day but your boss doesn't have the same agenda and takes it out on you.

First Crucial Step to a Successful Life

Are you living a happy and successful life? Certainly not, I presume. If you had been living a happy and successful life then you would not have been here reading this article!

The Key To True Happiness

It is a sad and true fact that the vast majority of people are not really happy.

The reason for this all of the unhappiness is because to many people are looking for reasons outside of themselves to be happy. You know what I mean, I am sure that you have probably said this yourself, "I will be happy when..." What is that when? When you find the perfect mate? When your children have children that live the life you always wanted or maybe it is when you get that promotion and the raise that goes with it. Ok, you get those things - but then what happens once the initial excitement wears off?

Happiness Is A State Of Mind

Happiness is not some potion or spell. It is a belief system that we all have in us. Some people are just more aware that it is there.
As I walk down the street, I notice a woman walking by me, with a frown on her face. Her face looks aged to me. The frown makes her face look wrinkly and old.

I make it to my destination, the coffee shop. The owner is a happy guy that always greets me with a "Hi Chris, How have you been". He always has a big smile on his face and people love talking to him because he`s always cheery.

Unlocking Your Success: Finding Your Passion

I bet that you can't tell me that Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote, “The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.” That statement is very true, for there has never, in the history of humanity, been any discovery, innovation, or creation that was not first a spark of passion, curiosity, or devotion. Truly, the manifestation and realization of such discoveries, creations, and innovations is nothing more than the mastery of the creators’ passions.

Happiness Can Be Yours

Trying to be happier should come naturally. Don't let negative thoughts creep into your mind. Sounds easy, right? Well for some it's not. Some people obsess over the little things. Women worry more than men do. Healthy thoughts about a lot of things should be with you daily. In fact, its good for you to mull over everything.

Reap Your Own Happiness

One of my favorite expressions is that "you reap what you sow". While I often hear it used negatively by someone who expects some "chickens to come home to roost" I prefer to think of it as something positive. How comforting to think that all our hard work and toil will be rewarded with a crop of something good? How wonderful to think that putting love and care into some project or person will indeed be rewarded.

The Secret of Happiness

What does happiness mean to you? There’s a lot of searching going on these days for the elusive emotion of “being happy” --where do you find it, how do you create it, even what it actually is.
But I’d like to share a little secret with you -- happiness is not just for a lucky few who were born with it.

Balancing Achievement And Happiness In Seeking

Being goal oriented is one possible asset in achieving success in any field. It does not ensure success, but I have no doubt that it can be a very useful tool. I used it as a development tool when I was an employee, and for the past ten years have set my own personal objectives in whatever it is that I have done for my own business.

HAPPINESS

Some people believe that achieving happiness is the purpose of life, yet the pursuit of happiness often leads to unhappiness. This is because happiness is actually a consequence of a different life purpose – the pursuit of evolving our souls in our ability to love ourselves and others.

When achieving happiness is your goal, you might pursue this in three different ways:
