Things To Do Before The Start Of The New Year

If you want to live a more joyful, more productive and more successful life in the coming year (2014) then I have an excellent advice for you. Pack up all your bad habits, (from nail biting to back biting and from smoking to excessive drinking), in a black plastic bag, dump it in the garbage and forget about it. Don’t carry the burden of your bad habits with you to the new year otherwise you will remain a failed person.

8 Things To Do In The Morning

Before leaving for you job in the morning, do the following things:

1. After a good sleep in the night, you need to get up, as early as possible, in the morning. If you are a believer then the first thing to do in the morning is to spend some time in praying and seeking guidance from God.

2. Drink a glass of lukewarm water mixed with lemon juice and honey. This is an energetic drink which also boosts body’s digestive system and keeps your weight under control.

3. Do some early morning physical activity such as stretching, walking, jogging, aerobics, yoga etc.

You Can Lighten Up Your Day

Think, how can you make your today, a wonderful day of your life. I give you some suggestions:

1. Go for a morning walk.
2. Take a good nutritious breakfast.
3. Smile a lot and say hello to as many persons as possible.
4. Say thank you to God for all His blessings and to the people who are helpful to you in one way or other.
5. Enjoy your work and try to do it in a more efficient way.
6. Do some creative work.
7. Make a telephone call to a friend or a family member whom you have not seen for quite a long time.

Is It Good For Me?

I am in the habit of asking a simple question to myself before doing anything, particularly when I am in doubt. And that question is: “Is it good for me?” If I get the answer “yes” then I go ahead otherwise I drop the idea. For example, before eating any food I ask myself “if eating this food is good for my heath?” If the reply is in affirmative then I eat otherwise I leave it.

It was a pleasant day in the spring of 2003. I was working in my office as usual when something unusual happened. A severe pain in my chest jolted my whole body. In minutes the pain became unbearable and I fell down on the floor. I was breathing with great difficulty. My colleagues came to my rescue. They called an ambulance which took me to the hospital.

If you are 60 plus and losing interest in life then I must say “you are wrong”. There is no reason of losing interest in life. You should not count your age in numbers. Your real age depends on your physical, mental and emotional fitness. If you are in good health then you are better than a 40 year old person who is in bad health.

For this year, 2013, I have no agenda, no goals and no resolutions!!! I just want to enjoy my life during the year 2013. What’s a fantastic idea? Do you agree with me? I don’t care whether you say yes or no. I started enjoying my life from January1, and am determined to keep enjoying till December 31. While I have started living a joyful life, I cannot give you any other advice except saying, enjoy your life.
